How it works
Only anonymised text leaves your computer
Vaultin works like any AI chat. The difference is what happens before your request is sent, and after the answer comes back.
The journey of a request
Client details are swapped out before anything is sent
Your computer
Your AI provider
Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Mistral, under your firm’s own account.
Sees placeholders only
Vaultin (us)
Receives nothing
The answer comes back with placeholders, and the real details are put back on your computer before you read it.
Names
One person, one placeholder, however they are written
| You write | The AI sees | You read |
|---|---|---|
| Sarah Collins | [PERSON_1] | Sarah Collins |
| Ms Collins | Ms [PERSON_1] | Ms Collins |
| Hi Sarah | Hi [PERSON_1] | Hi Sarah |
Tone survives
An email to “Sarah” comes back to Sarah, and a letter to “Ms Collins” stays formal.
Unsure? It asks
If two people could match, Vaultin asks which one you mean. It never guesses.
Not just names
Companies, emails, addresses and reference numbers are replaced the same way.
Ask your documents
Questions about a client’s files, answered with sources
How much notice does Northgate need to end the contract?
Northgate Builders Ltd must give 90 days’ written notice Document 2, p. 14. It can end the contract at once if an invoice is unpaid for 60 days Document 2, p. 15.
Illustrative exampleOne workspace per client
Each client’s documents and conversations are kept apart. Your originals are never changed.
Finds the right passage
A question about “ending the contract” also finds the termination clause.
Every answer shows its source
Each point names the document and page, so it can be checked.
